I know how horrible it must be, believe it. But he really should see a doctor as they do now have effective treatment. He specifically should see a specialist. And you might want ear plugs until his case is treated. It won’t eliminate all the sound but lower a bit. Wish I could say more but I am no doctor, just someone that knows your pain. And yes, it can become painful in so many ways. Lack of sleep will add up and start affecting you in many ways too.Good luck.
